Plans withdrawn!!

Dear Friends,
The plans (ref no. 097419) have been WITHDRAWN. It is understood that the applicant no longer wishes to proceed with these present plans for the proposed flat-roofed large eco house and mews garage. I would like to sincerely thank you all for your letters of objection regarding this application.However, as I understand it, the applicant may wish to reapply with a new set of plans, and I ask you all to watch this space so that should we be required to voice objection once more, we may be ready to do so.
Although the applicant has recently gained renewals for the previous 2009 consent, he has stated he has no intention to 'remodel' or significantly extend the Lodge. The renewals are for 12 months ONLY with significant conditions attached.

The Friends will be hosting a viewing of the plans on:
3rd November from 7pm at the Albert Club, Old Lansdowne Road, West Didsbury Everyone welcome.

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED!

Please look at the new plans carefully and if you are not happy, email or write to the planning department to make it clear that you are OBJECTING to the proposed development.

The owner of the lodge has submitted plans to develop the garden of the Lodge and grounds near Holme Road.
The proposed development includes a large contemporary detached dwelling house which will overlook the Gardens.
In addition there are plans to build a triple Garage and Mews development close to Holme Road and Needham Hall.
We are going to hold a series of public meetings in early November to look at the plans and their impact upon the Gardens. To view and comment on the plans:

The Freinds of Marie Louise Gardens AGM will take place at 7.30pm on 5th July at the Albert Club, Old Landsdowne Rd., West Didsbury. All members are welcome to attend and renew their subscriptions as well as anyone interested in joining the friends and getting the latest updates and news about the gardens.

Public Planting Day in Marie Louise Gardens - Saturday 16th April 10.30am

To mark the start of the Easter break why not bring yourself, your family, your friends and take part in the second of this year's public planting sessions. There will be a great variety of interesting new plants that have been bought by Colin Evans, our park warden, and that need to be given a home in the gardens.
Colin will be on hand to advise and supervise.

Just a few photos of volunteers planting at the previous planting session held on 12th March. The team, guided by Colin Evans, did a good job at 3 locations around the Park.

If you're itching to get digging this spring why not get along to the planting events at Marie Louise Gardens !!
The first one is this Saturday 12th March at 10.30am - bring a spade.

The event will be supervised by Colin Evans who has all the plants and know-how.

If you're busy this Saturday there's another event on Saturday 16th April again at 10.30am
